Event Details
On September 19, 2026 2 Rivers Remix (2RMX) – in partnership with Tsal’álh – will present a FREE outdoor Festival of contemporary Indigenous Music, art and culture at the Sk’il’ Mountain Community School Field. Attendees can expect to see live contemporary music performances in a wide variety of genres, alongside traditional St’át’imc songs and dances, as well as food and market vendors. The festival will be preceded by the launch of the Tsal’álh Career Fair. Throughout Friday and Saturday, attendees can enjoy workshops such as, rattle making, silk-screening, financial management and information booths, all within a culturally relevant framework. Facilitated both days by esteemed knowledge keeper Ronnie Dean Harris, the fair offers a unique platform connecting post-secondary institutions, industries, and employment opportunities.
The Tsal’álh Movable Feast opens at noon with a Welcoming Ceremony from the Tsal’álh Leadership, EYAC (Elders & Youth Advisory council) & St’át’imc Bear Dancers, as well as a special opening ceremony by Mexika-Tenochka artist ANA CORNEJO. The bill features pop and alternative singer/songwriter NATASHA FISHER (Anishinaabe), Nuu-Chah-Nulth and Secwépemc hip-hop artist KIVA MH, Anishnaabe poet, singer/songwriter, and MC from Little Saskatchewan First Nation, LEONARD SUMNER, Flamenco Mesoamerican-Indigenous Afro-Latin Hip Hop Musician KIN BALAM (The Path of The Jaguar), Intergenerational healing roots-rhizome, hip-hop fusionists THE MELAWMEN COLLECTIVE, and acoustic, blues and alternative artist HASAATUK (Nuu-Chah-Nulth/ Cree).
The evening will close with a live DJ set; an epic collab between the Godfather of Powwow Step, SHUB and Anishinaabe/Métis/North African global bass weaver, producer and DJ, HANDSOME TIGER.
Tsal’álh Movable Feast held on September 19 from 12PM – 10PM at 100 Sk’il’ Mountain Road, Seton Portage is FREE with pre-registration and will be live-streamed to promote accessibility. Everyone can witness this incredible Indigenous artistry.
