Event Details

After serious deliberations regarding the current wildfire activity and evacuations in the area, the Chief and Council of Tsideldel have decided it best to POSTPONE the Tsideldel Movable Feast Music Festival scheduled for Sept 12-13, at Puntzi Lake, until they can determine when it will be safe to proceed.

With so many of our relatives, friends, and communities facing evacuations and loss from the wildfire crisis, 2 Rivers Remix Society completely support this decision from the leadership of Tsideldel.  This gathering has been organized with great care and many challenges for almost a year and, as much as we wanted to bring the musical medicine, we know that right now the people are in urgent need of care, consideration and protection.

The Elders Council of 2 Rivers Remix also expressed their support: “We, the 2RMX Elders Council,  acknowledge the urgent need to support the local communities impacted by the effects of wildfires. We appreciate the time and energy put into safeguarding communities. Sending strength and comfort to all affected.”

We are holding space for those affected and we will come together to celebrate our culture, lands, territories, and resilience when it is safe for us to do so.  We will provide an update on our plans for the future soon, and thank you all for your understanding and support.
