“Our island trek reaffirms the connections of our ocean water peoples as it was before colonization. It is a living example of how difficult it is for our people to gather since being forcibly placed onto inaccessible lands. Yet, through this journey we bring together inter-nation relatives, friends, allies, and survivors of residential schools, many of whom have not seen one another in over 60 years, all through music and art, which are integral to our ways and values as Indigenous peoples on Mother, the Earth… as it was before. ”  – Meeka Morgan, 2 Rivers Remix Artistic Director

2RMX’s Movable Feast tour on Vancouver Island is FREE with pre-registration and will be live-streamed to promote accessibility. Everyone can witness this incredible Indigenous artistry.

2 Rivers Remix Society is the instigator and organiser of The 2 Rivers Remix (2RMX), an annual 3-day Feast of contemporary Indigenous Music and Culture. Since its incorporation in 2018 2RMX was hosted by the Nlaka’pamux Nation in Tl’kemtsin/Lytton, BC, until the devastating fire that incinerated most of our host community in 2021. In 2022, 2 Rivers Remix Society evolved towards a decentralised, Indigenised feast model called the "Movable Feast", that brings a series of contemporary Indigenous music and culture events direct to multiple small indigenous communities across BC.
